Penny Stones Head and Tales Game

There’s no wrong way to play with Penny Stones. In this game (the Head and Tales game), the players get to try their hand at leading an entire conversation. It moves players beyond quick answers and easy jokes, and into what some feel is a more interesting place.

Players:
For 4-12 players, ages 6 and up.

Objective:
To become the Head Host by hosting the best conversation and winning the most votes.

How to Play:
The first Host of the conversation is the person whose birthday is next (in case of twins, flip the penny).

The Host picks a Penny Stone for discussion and hosts a conversation with the rest of the players. The Host tries their best to make sure the topic is fully discussed and enjoyed by all. All players must participate in the conversation.

At the end of each conversation, the players may write down notes on how well the Host runs the conversation. Consider how the Host incorporated: participation, humor, interest, listening, eye contact and asking questions.

After all the players have hosted a conversation, write down your favorite Host (you may not vote for yourself). The player with the most votes is the Head Host. In case of a tie, vote by applause to decide the winner.
