2010 Penny Stones Trade Show Schedule

Penny Stones for Retailers

Penny Stones are an elegant and fun ice breaker introduced to the gift market at the January 2009 Atlanta Gift show. They offer an engaging and simple way for people to start conversations and strengthen relationships. Currently, all other conversation starters are made of paper or cards. Customers have let us know that our glass stones are more attractive, more durable and more interesting than paper conversation starters. And Penny Stones are an attractive accessory for any occasion.

According to Gifts & Decorative Accessories Magazine, gifts are still selling in this economy, but it’s primarily gifts priced under $20 retail. Religious gifts have also seen a bump up in sales recently. And consumers are looking to get “back to basics”. Penny Stones fit right in with all of these, suggesting it is the right product at the right time.

For wholesale accounts, please contact us (customerservice@pennystones.com). We take pride in our customer service and look forward to answering any questions or placing an order for you.

Here’s what some of our retailers are saying about Penny Stones:

  • "While we have carried TableTopics for two years now and sold them very well in all four quarters, the introduction of Penny Stones has been equally successful. The Penny Stones are smaller to transport, less expensive and more generic in topic. They are a great hostess or best friend gift and believe it or not, we have sold them to psychologists who are using them in professional sessions. Customers also respond to the fact that they are domestically made by disabled individuals. Great product!" - Rita and Annie, Mulholland & Sachs, Woodmere, Ohio
  • "Penny Stones have done surprisingly well in our specialty toy stores.  We tried Penny Stones two weeks before Christmas in three of our five stores.  Two cases (12/case) sold out in two days and we ultimately sold six cases in three weeks.  Customers like that they’re an attractive conversation starter; they make a great hostess gift.  Penny Stones became a successful impulse buy next to the register." – Michael Z., Play Matters, Northeast Ohio
  • "We have the Penny Stones on the counter in our gallery with a number of the stones in a tray for people to see/touch etc. It is a great pick up item."
John, Owner, Blue Dolphin House, WI
  • "They sell out as soon as we get them.  I gave a set of Penny Stones to my friend and she told me it's one of the nicest gifts she's ever received."  - Ann, Hudson, Ohio, Sales Associate
  • “It’s doing very well. And if it does well in religious gift stores, you know it will do well anywhere.” - Patrick, Cleveland, Ohio, Religious Gift Store Distributor
